Term 3 Week 1

Hi Room 1,
This week your homework time is dedicated to Science and Technology Fair Prep. This may not seem like a lot but if you are doing justice to your project it will take up a good chunk of your time.

Tomorrow I expect to see three thingsl isted in your log book.

Science -
Your aim/question
Your hypothesis
The Variables - constants, dependant and two independents

Notes on Variables
  1. The independent variable is the thing that is changed by the scientist.
  2. The scientist focuses his or her observations on the dependent variable to see how it responds to the change made to the independent variable. (The thing you measure/time etc)
  3. Constant variables are quantities that a scientist wants to remain constant.
Technologist - I will talk to you tomorrow be prepeared to answer questions. Remember you do need a logbook.
